The El Royale Hotel is surrounded by some epic local eats! Just a hop away, you can chill at Lal Mirch Indian Restaurant for spicy bites or grab some late-night treats at Tortas Mexico. Plus, the staff were super chill and went out of their way to help us feel like we belonged.

The air conditioner in the room was disturbingly loud, contributing to a few sleepless nights—definitely not the best 'white noise' I've experienced. Limited hanging space in the cottage means you might find yourself draping clothes awkwardly, not ideal for those traveling with pressed outfits. Parking feels a bit cramped, which could be tricky if you roll in with a larger vehicle. Also, navigating out past parked cars and overgrown bushes posed a real visibility risk—stay sharp when you get behind the wheel.

I had a wonderful stay here, being just a few steps from the Fox and Hounds pub and only about 2 km from Universal Studios made my weekend city strolls super enjoyable. although the room was clean and updated, I could have used a coffee maker for those early mornings but it’s not a dealbreaker.

the el royale hotel, near universal studios hollywood is in a prime location with great restaurants just steps away. the deluxe king room was cozy and had everything we needed. the manager and jorge, the night shift maintenance guy, were super friendly and went out of their way to help us. it felt nice to stay somewhere unique instead of a chain hotel!

Had a fantastic stay, in a clean and spacious room with two queen beds. The staff were welcoming, especially Xavier, who provided great tips on where to eat and even joked with us about Jurassic Park.

It wasn’t exactly inexpensive, but it was worth every penny.

It was just a perfect match for a weekend stopover in Los Angeles with good value. The room had a noisy AC, but we managed to stay warm during our cold visit. Bring earplugs for a quieter night.
